MyRip is a smart old-style MP3 ripper written in BASH (Linux shell). I wrote it for
personal use as I was tired of graphical stuff. MyRip is not marketing-oriented but is
fair enough for geeks and rough guys :)

<LI> Put the audio CD in the PC
<LI> Type "myrip.sh"
<LI> If CD is known by FreeDB and iPod connected the job is done "automagically" !

The script itself is just a frontend and needs several tools:

<LI> cdinfo to get information about audio CD from FreeDB (source code provided, needs 
libcdaudio)

<LI> cdparanoia to extract audio tracks from  CD

<LI> gogo to convert audio files to MP3

<LI> mp3info to tag MP3 files

<LI> gnupod to upload MP3 files to iPod

Installation is straightforward:
